About
I have worked across product design, UX and development for a decade, most of it at ACTO — joining early as an engineer and moving through senior full-stack and senior product design roles before taking responsibility for the design function in 2021. Today I own design direction across the platform and work alongside an engineering organisation of roughly forty people.
Along the way I built the design team from a single practitioner to twelve, established the production-connected design system the platform runs on, and led the redesign that repositioned the company for life sciences. I began my career in frontend development at McCann.
Lately I have been thinking a great deal about AI-assisted tools and design systems, and about how we build products that help people reason better rather than simply move faster. I am currently open to principal, staff, director and head of design roles. Based in Toronto; Canadian citizen.
Practice
Platform & workflow design
Complex SaaS and domain-heavy environments, where compliance, permissions and operational reality shape the interface as much as the user does.
Design leadership
Giving a team structure rather than inspiration: the ladder, the system and the operating rhythm that hold a standard while the company scales around it.
AI in product and practice
AI-assisted tooling and design systems, and the question underneath both: how to build products that help people reason better, not merely move faster.
